15th of March 2018, JVA Cologne

It's half past eight, and I just arrived to the office again. Facing the white paper, and feeling it's hard to find the words. It's been quite a day, but still, I will try.

I have been forced to take a tough decision five minutes before the trial was supposed to start, while being harassed by the guards because we have to go up, the trial has to start.

How can the trial start when the judge doesn't know, at all, one of the resolution made by Kölns superior court? How can the trial start when the policeman that suddenly said that I had a knife in my pocket hadn't been called as witness? And more importantly, how can the trial start, when my lawyer had just been able to read part of the files that contain the whole accusation, being allowed to access the rest of the file (more than 200pages) just two hours before my trial was supposed to begin? It just couldn't start.

The uncountable mistakes that have been made since my arrest gave me no choice but to stand. I regret the words that didn't come out while leaving the courtroom, and specially the words that didn't come out during the absolutely unexpected visit I have received.

But I don't regret my decision. Justice have not existed. Not today in Kerpen, nor ever. And I don't expect it. But the least I should have is a proper defence.

I want to say thank you to all the people who have come today to Kerpen and have been there supporting us. You make this shitstorm look almost beautiful.

Just seeing all of you during the crazy theatre, when you all where screaming while I was leaving the courtroom, when I heard you again going to the van, and when the van could not leave because of you. When it finally left, helped by the big bunch of storm-troopers they've had to call, and you yelled even louder. You've put a giant smile in my face that will stand until the day I'm free. Thank you very very much for that.

Couldn't finish this letter without a big CONGRATULATIONS to the rest of the UP's that have been released today, I'm very happy for all of you.

Enjoy your freedom, I'm coming soon!

Love and rage,
Foot
