Seit Anfang Oktober befindet sich Turt*le im sogenannten offenen Vollzug (OV),
welcher sowohl Vorteile als auch Nachteile mit sich bringt. Der größte Vorteil ist dass er nun anstelle der vier Stunden Besuch nun zwei mal für je bis zu acht Stunden die JVA verlassen kann. Zu Beginn saß er auf eigenen Wunsch mit einem Mitgefangenen auf Zelle, aktuell stellt er wieder einen Antrag auf Einzellzelle.
Die Fernsehsperre die es im Regelvollzug gibt (ab 22 oder 23 Uhr geht der Fernseher aus) gibt es im OV nicht mehr. Dafür gibt es keinen Zugriff auf die Gefängnisbibliothek sondern nur auf ein Bücherregal – was wohl klar macht wie groß die Auswahl an Büchern ist!
Turt*le kann nun einen Diskma*n auf Zelle haben und derzeit fünf Cds (Orginale), die Anzahl kann bis zu 20 erhöht werden - ob die gewünschten Cds bei ihm auf Zelle ankommen, ist noch unklar da die Zensur der JVA recht harsch ist.
Weiter arbeitet er derzeit im Landwirtschaftsbereich der JVA - der Winterknast der Rinder wird renoviert und Turt*le muss mit Presslufthämmern sehr stabilen Beton zerkleinern. Die Knochenarbeit fällt den „Ausländern“ und ihm als „Zecke“ zu während „deutsche“ und „ehemalige Nazis“ (alles „Ehemalige“, denn keiner will Prügel der Mitgefangenen oder eine geringere Chance auf vorzeitige Entlassung riskieren) sich um die Versorgung der Tiere kümmern. Im OV gibt es keinen Umschluss sondern mehrere Stunden Aufschluss am Tag, nur ist Turt*le meist zu müde vom Malochen, um davon viel zu haben.
Für Tur*tel besteht jetzt die Möglichkeit auf „Hafturlaub“, der gewährt wird wenn Turt*le einen Prakitkumsplatz draußen vorweisen kann. Er ist vor allem an Baumpflege und Stellen in Gärtnereien interessiert. Wenn ihr also Orte kennt wo Turt*le ein einwöchiges Praktikum machen kann, schreibt uns bitte die Information!
Die Beamten, die seine Postkontrolle durchführen, sind im OV dieselben, die er tagtäglich um sich rum hat, sodass er immer weniger Lust hat Briefe zu schreiben - nicht desto trotz freut er sich sehr über eure Briefe!
Wichtiges Update zum Besuch: Wenn sich Freund*innen und Gefährt*innen von Turt*el es sich vorstellen können, ihn beim Freigang zu besuchen, meldet euch zur Koordination bitte beim abcrheinland. Durch die „Ordnungen“ der JVA hängt an den Besuchen deutlich mehr Aufwand, als in anderen Knästen, daher ist es umso wichtiger, dass ihr eure Besuchswünsche kurz mit uns absprecht. Auf Tur*tels Wunsch versuchen wir die Anzahl der Besucher*innen auf fünf zu beschränken.

Since beginning of October Turt*le is in so called open Prison (OP).
This has some advantages and some disadvantages. The bigest advantage is that he can leave the prison two times a month for up to eight hours each time instead of getting four hours of visit.
He was transfared together with an inmate that he kind of likes into a cell together and they came allong with each other the most time. But they are sitting 24 hours together because they are also working together and if one needs a rest its often not the time that the other one has the same need. Which led to the disiscion that Turt*le tries to get a single cell again. In the „normal“ part of the prison the TV gets shut off at around 22 or 23 o clock and in OP they can watch as long as they want.
They dont have access to the prisoners library anymore – instead of that they can take books out of a shelf in their floor – which means they have quite less choice to choose! Turt*le is allowed to have a Diskm*an in the cell an five Cds (originals), and the amout can get up to 20. If he recieves the cds he wished for is unclear because the censorship is pretty harsh there.
He is working in the farming devision of the prison – the winterprison for the cattle gets renovated and Turt*le has to destroy hard concret with a jackhammer all day long. The hard work has to be done by „Foreigners“ and „Tics“ like Turt*le. The feeding and caring about the animals is done by „germans“ and „former nazis“ (there are jus „former“ nazis because noone likes to get beaten up by the other inmates or to risk to get easier conditions). In OP there is no „Umschluss“ (prisoners visit each other in their cells for severall hours) anymore but „Aufschluss“ (The cells are open for severall hours and they can walk around and visit each other. But most time Turt*le is to wasted from the work to do this.
The screws which he had to deal in daily life are the same that controll and read his letters – so he is not really up for writing letters. But he still really enjoys to get letters.
Visits: If friend*s and comrad*s of Turt*le can imagine to visit him get in contact with the abcrhineland for coordination. Together with Tur*tel we try to stick to not more than five vistors at the same time.
